Curriculum Connections... Does your software support them? pg.3

Put Face Maker in the Surprise Box
to support an "All About Me" theme.

Here's how:

Select Designing the Environment.

Click on Set up the Surprise Box.

Use the arrows to scroll through the
options until you get to Face Maker.

When Face Maker appears in the top
box, choose select.

Test your choice by selecting Test.

You should be in Face Maker now.
Use the red or yellow circle to exit.

Select Return to Menu to go back
to Designing the Environment.

After you have set up the Surprise Box, your children will be able to use Face Maker from the Surprise Box on the children's Software screen.

Try these "All About Me"
integration activities.*

Music and Movement	With a partner, play "Funny Faces." Imitate a sequence of facial movements. Start simple!
Art	Take your print-out to the art center. Add a body and/or background. (See above)
Dramatic Play	Make masks from your face. Make pictures. Act out a play.
Science	Explore the five senses. Make a collage with sights, sounds and smells.
Language Arts	Create an "All About Me" book or bulletin board. Write a biography in KIDWARE Writer and get to know each other.
Math	Create and laminate Face Maker mix and match puzzle pieces.
Computer Center	Customize Fun with Letters and Words to share personal, family information and special words.
